A whitewater activity to do with the family between Perpignan, Foix and Carcassonne
During this half-day initiation, you will have the opportunity to familiarize yourself with whitewater canoeing, by exploring a 6-kilometer course on the Aude River, classified level 2. This adventure allows you to get started gently to the joys of white water.
Who is this canoeing and kayaking Trip for?
This whitewater activity is ideal for those looking to learn canoeing or kayaking in whitewater. This course is accessible to families with children over 6 years old and to groups of friends looking for new experiences.
Prerequisites
This activity requires a certain physical condition and we recommend that participants check whether they are able to do it before registering.
Participants must be at least 6 years old and weigh no more than 125 kg.
It is also essential to know how to swim at least 25 meters and to feel comfortable submerging in water.
Finally, it is important not to have any medical contraindication to the practice of white water sports.
Where is this canoeing and kayaking trip ?
Canoeing and Kayaking courses is located in the Upper Aude Valley, in the Aude department in the Occitanie-Pyrénées-Méditerranée region in France.
Our reception base is located in the town of Belvianes and Cavirac, where participants are welcomed. The place is easily accessible by car, just 5 minutes from Quillan. The towns of Perpignan, Narbonne, Carcassonne and Foix are all around an hour’s drive from our base, as it is located at the crossroads of the valleys.
In less than an hour and a half, it is possible to reach our base from the Mediterranean coast and the towns of Argeles-sur-Mer, Le Barcarès, Canet-en-Roussillon, Leucate or Ste Marie la Mer.
The cities of Montpellier and Toulouse are approximately 2 hours away.

Progress of the session
When you arrive at our base, you will be warmly welcomed and you will take approximately 30 minutes to get to know our team and properly equip yourself for the activity.
Once ready, we will transport you by shuttle to the starting point of the descent, which will take approximately 10 minutes.
Before starting the adventure, we will take the time to explain the safety instructions and basic techniques to you. This explanation phase will be followed by a descent of approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes, allowing you to fully enjoy this activity while admiring the magnificent Pyrenean landscapes.
At the end of the descent, we will organize a shuttle to take you back to our base. The return journey will take approximately 20 minutes.
Back at base, you can comfortably disequip yourself and chat with our team. This last step, which marks the end of the session, will last approximately 30 minutes.
