Introduction to family rafting with children in the Aude department in the South of France
Go for a 1h30 rafting trip on the Aude in complete safety, accompanied by an experienced instructor, and enjoy a unique family experience with children aged 6 and over. During this 6 km descent into the Aude gorges, discover the magnificent landscapes that surround you.
Who is this Rafting Trip for?
This rafting adventure is ideal for families with children aged 6 and over and people who want to discover the activity gently and take their time to enjoy the breathtaking landscapes. It is accessible to anyone who can swim at least 25 meters.
Prerequisites
This activity requires a certain physical condition and we recommend that participants check whether they are able to do it before registering.
Participants must be at least 6 years old and weigh no more than 130 kg.
It is also essential to know how to swim at least 25 meters and to feel comfortable submerging in water.
Finally, it is important not to have any medical contraindication to the practice of rafting.
Where is the Rafting Family Trip ?
The rafting course is located in the Upper Aude Valley, in the Aude department in the Occitanie Pyrénées Méditerranée region (formerly Languedoc Roussillon) in France.
Our reception base is located in the town of Belvianes and Cavirac, where participants are welcomed. The place is easily accessible by car, just 5 minutes from Quillan. The towns of Perpignan, Narbonne, Carcassonne and Foix are all around an hour’s drive from our base, as it is located at the crossroads of the valleys.
In less than an hour and a half, it is possible to reach our base from the Mediterranean coast and the towns of Barcarès, Canet, Leucate or Ste Marie la Mer.
The cities of Montpellier and Toulouse are approximately 2 hours away.

Discover the class 2 to 3 rafting route on the Aude with your family, ideal for a first experience in complete safety. The 6 km descent into the wild gorges of Saint Georges, punctuated with stops throughout the route, is a real adventure that will delight young and old.
Accompanied by an experienced instructor, you will confidently explore the treasures that this magnificent Pyrenean river holds.
Accessible to children from 6 years old, as soon as they know how to swim, this fun activity will allow you to enjoy for almost an hour and a half the breathtaking landscapes, the surrounding fauna and flora in the heart of the gorges of the Auda. You will not remain indifferent to this beautiful Pyrenean river.
The total duration of the activity is 3 hours, including reception and equipment which takes around half an hour. Then, a 15-minute minibus shuttle will take you to the starting point where our instructor will give you all the necessary advice before starting the descent.
During the descent, which lasts about an hour and a half, you will be able to appreciate the superb landscapes while spending friendly moments.
After the descent, a 10-minute return shuttle will take you back to the base where you can un-equip yourself and end the session in a friendly manner.
